Youth access to rights through implementing the SDGs – Youth SDG

WESAD was part of the training done by the Centre for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) to empower youth led organization whereby youths deliberate and establish factors hindering youth’s access to rights in implementing the SDGs with respect to their different political, cultural, social, and economic backgrounds. Youths had working sessions focused on sorting out loopholes and factors hindering youth access to rights and effective implementation of SGDs in different parts of the world. During these working sessions, discussions were focused on how these rights are violated in different countries and how it’s negatively contributing to slow down the realization of the SDGs by 2030.

To address these differences, different campaign tools were used to explore and bring out messages that advocated for youth access to rights in implementing the SDGs. These campaigns were created with intentions of reaching out to the world through social media plate forms (Facebook, twitter, Instagram and TikTok). After evaluating working sessions and the campaigns created, it was known that those youths had better understand on how they can advocate and their target groups to ease access to implementing the SDGs.
